dc.description.abstract Kilifi Bridge Update: The Ministry of Communication has confirmed that construction of the much-awaited Kilifi Bridge will commence this year. This news was warmly received by locals, especially in Malindi, where the project will significantly boost tourism and transportation in the area. Toyota Launches the 'Corolla 90': The Toyota Corolla 90 was officially launched from the Associated Vehicle Assemblers (AVA) factory, marking a significant milestone in local vehicle assembly. The new model comes in three versions, catering to the Kenyan market’s growing demand for locally produced vehicles, which will help reduce foreign exchange usage. The government emphasized the importance of this project for the country's transport needs and commended Toyota for its continuous investment in Kenya. Kenya Ports Authority Marks Ten Years: The Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) celebrated its tenth anniversary, with Transport and Communications Minister Arthur Magugu praising the hardworking staff for their dedication. Over the past decade, the KPA has significantly improved Mombasa’s port operations, contributing to the economic development of the region. The Minister noted that while the port had grown substantially, further upgrades were necessary to cope with increasing demand, including the construction of a new container terminal. en_US
