In Mombasa, the city is alive with grand festive decorations and cultural events, including performances by the famous Sikamano Traditional Dance Company at the "Jungle Village" nightclub. The performances aim to promote Kenya’s rich cultural heritage, featuring traditional costumes and dances. Warm Welcome for Austrian Charter Flight by Niki Lauda: Former Formula 1 World Champion Niki Lauda's airline, Lauda Air, began a new weekly charter flight service from Vienna to Mombasa on October 10, 1988. The inaugural flight, welcomed by Kenya’s Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife, marks a new connection between Austria and Kenya, promoting tourism. Lauda Air hopes to introduce direct non-stop flights in the future. Lauda received praise for his efforts to bring Austrian holidaymakers to Kenya. Aga Khan Visits Mombasa: His Highness, the Aga Khan, is making a private visit to the Coast, accompanied by members of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture Steering Committee. A special dinner will be hosted at the Fort Jesus Museum on October 16, in honor of the visit. This highlights the Aga Khan's long-standing commitment to cultural and architectural development in the region.
