dc.description.abstract Coast Provincial Commissioner Opens British Airways Office in Mombasa: Mr. Simeon Mung'alla, the Coast Provincial Commissioner, officially inaugurated the new British Airways office located in Trade Bank House, Nkrumah Road, Mombasa. During the ceremony, Mung'alla highlighted British Airways' long-standing commitment to the Coast since first establishing an office in 1976. Mr. Rod Lynch from British Airways emphasized the airline's dedication to enhancing travel services for both business and holiday travelers, noting their direct computer links with London. British Airways staff in Mombasa, including Mrs. Shaida Lloyd and Ms. Vicks Leitopan, were also recognized for their service. Chilean Navy's Training Vessel "Esmeralda" Visits Kenya: The Chilean Navy's tall ship, Esmeralda, arrived in Kenya for a four-day visit. The ship's presence highlights international naval cooperation and training exchanges. D.T. Dobie Pledges to David Sheldrick Memorial Trust: D.T. Dobie announced that for every vehicle sold in 1988, they would make a cash donation to the David Sheldrick Memorial Trust. The donations support the care of orphaned wildlife, including baby elephants and rhinos. en_US
