Halima's Journey to New York: Three-year-old Halima Ayubali is set to travel to New York for open-heart surgery, facilitated by the Medical Trust Fund and the Rotary Club of Mombasa. Halima has been suffering from a heart ailment, and her condition has been critical. The Trust Fund has organized transportation, housing, and care for her during the medical procedure. Operation Raleigh Expeditions: The charity initiative "Operation Raleigh" is planning to send three expeditions to Kenya next month. This international program engages young people in tasks involving scientific research and adventure training, providing opportunities for hands-on learning and exploration. Kilifi School Rebuilding Fund: President Daniel Arap Moi has personally supported the Kilifi School rebuilding initiative, contributing a record sum of KSh 1,060,554 to restore schools damaged by a storm earlier in the year. This funding will assist in the reconstruction of one secondary school and several primary schools in the area. Ministerial Donations: The Minister for Cooperative Development, Noah Katana, and Vice President Mwai Kibaki have made donations to support various community projects, including a contribution of KSh 20,000 towards school rebuilding efforts. Other donations include KSh 40,000 from the Coast Provincial Federation of Parents’ Associations. MP’s Visit to Eldoret: During a visit to Eldoret, several ministers and MPs, including Vice President Kibaki, contributed financial support to local initiatives, demonstrating solidarity with community development efforts.
