dc.description.abstract Art Exhibition to Support Rhino Conservation in Aberdare: An art exhibition has been organized to raise funds for rhino research in the Aberdare region. Kenya currently hosts fewer than 100 black rhinos, making conservation efforts critical. The David Sheldrick Memorial Trust, along with other charitable organizations, is at the forefront of this conservation initiative. The funds raised from the exhibition will be used to support ongoing research and conservation efforts to protect this endangered species. Malindi Ready for Space Probe 'Blast Off': Scientists are preparing for the latest rocket launch from the San Marco space platform located at Ngomeni Base Camp, north of Malindi. The launch, originally scheduled for earlier, is now set for Friday, March 25, 1988, at 11:16 AM. The rocket will carry an international satellite designed to study the Earth's lower atmosphere density. This experiment is part of a larger project involving Italian, French, and West German scientists. The satellite will collect data on atmospheric drag forces and solar spectrometry, enhancing our understanding of solar radiation's impact on the Earth's surface and beyond. The launch is part of ongoing international collaborations that include the French Navy's frigate Doudart de Lagrée and patrol boat La Boudeuse, which are currently in Kenyan waters for further support.
