dc.description.abstract Countdown on the Election: Honour to Ngala: The week witnessed significant developments as Katana Ngala, MP for Kilifi North, a respected figure in the political arena, returned triumphantly to his constituency. Referred to as "Ngala Ni Mubimu" (Ngala is Great), a title he inherited from his father, the late Ronald Ngala, he is set to be re-elected unopposed. Meanwhile, the Kenya African National Union (KANU) approved 89 candidates from the Coast Province to participate in the nomination process for the upcoming General Election. KANU Reinstates Said Hemed and Emmanuel Maitha: Said Hemed and Councillor Emmanuel Maitha were both reinstated into KANU after having been cleared of any allegations. Hemed, a former KANU chief whip, will contest the Kisauni Constituency seat. Meanwhile, Maitha, who had previously been suspended, has also been cleared to vie for his seat in the coming elections. Hard Fight for Matuga Constituency: Boy Juma Boy, Ali Mwakileo, and Is Mwaruwa are among the candidates battling for the Matuga Constituency seat. Competition is expected to be fierce, with all candidates striving to secure a place in the upcoming elections. en_US
