dc.description.abstract Appeal from Mombasa Mayor: Mombasa Mayor Ahmed S. Mwidani appeals for donations for the less fortunate in society. The Mayor's Christmas Fund is aimed at supporting destitutes, the poor, and needy cases such as those at various local institutions. Donations can be sent to the Treasurer, Municipal Council of Mombasa. African Express Airways: African Express Airways resumes charter flights between Europe and Mombasa. The service, operated by a Boeing 767, will ferry approximately 400 tourists weekly from Munich and Milan. The airline plans to acquire a new D.C. 10 plane in February to extend flights to Zurich. Charity Auction Success: The Coast "Ring-Us-Up" TV auction achieved a record-breaking collection of Shs. 590,000. The event, which was broadcast live, was organized by Mombasa Round Table No. 3, Nyali Round Table No. 25, Voice of Kenya, and Kenya Posts and Telecommunications – Gray Phombeah. en_US
