Abstract

Lion or Hyena Predation in Lamu District: A pack of wild animals, possibly hyenas or lions, has been terrorizing farmers in the Alpeketoni Division of Lamu District, devouring livestock. One farmer reported losing 13 sheep and 17 kids (young goats) in the attacks. Lawfords Hotel Reopens in Malindi: Lawfords Hotel in Malindi has reopened after a temporary closure for renovations. Both Lawfords and Blue Marlin hotels have been acquired by Malindi Investments Company, marking a fresh chapter for these local landmarks. Three Rhinos Relocated in Taita-Taveta: The Kenya Game Department has relocated three rhinos to a sanctuary near Ngulia in Tsavo West National Park.
