U.S. Consul Assures Continued Aid to Africa: U.S. Consul Eugene Schmiel reassured attendees at a Mombasa Rotary Luncheon that American aid to Africa will continue. He emphasized that the United States remains committed to assisting Africa's development and supporting democratic institutions. Schmiel highlighted U.S. efforts in southern Africa and ongoing support for refugees and economic development, with over $2.2 billion in aid provided between 1964 and 1986. EEC Supports Livestock Projects in Coast Region: The European Economic Community (EEC) has contributed to the development of livestock projects in the Coast Province, including the promotion of zero grazing and improved cattle breeding practices.
