Aga Khan Foundation Grants Six Million Shillings for Early Childhood Education: The Aga Khan Foundation issued a six million shilling grant to support the expansion of Kenya's Early Childhood Education Programme. The grant, presented by Sir Eboo Pirbhai, will help establish additional District Centres for Early Childhood Education (DICECE) in Kilifi, Garissa, Nyeri, and Kericho, bringing the total number of centers to 15. The initiative aims to extend the benefits of early education to more rural and underprivileged areas. Football Juggling Champion Completes Coast Charity Marathon: Paul Sahli, a five-time world champion in football juggling from Bard, Switzerland, completed a 413-minute football juggling marathon in Mombasa. Sahli’s remarkable feat raised over Shs. 20,000 for local community projects, including the construction of a village clinic and school in Congoni. The event was supported by local sponsors, with the funds going towards the building of water kiosks and health facilities. Minister Katana Ngala attended the event, where Sahli entertained thousands of spectators with his impressive football skills. Copy Cat Hosts Popular Rummy Tournament: Copy Cat hosted a three-day Rummy tournament in Mombasa, attracting participants from across Kenya. The event featured 20 different clubs, including a large number of women players. Suleman Sanghar, director of Copy Cat, ensured the tournament ran smoothly, providing trophies and expert management for the competition. The tournament is gaining popularity and promises to be a major annual event.
