African Safari Club Expands Operations with New Hotel Complex at Shanzu: The African Safari Club is set to expand its operations with the opening of the Coral Beach Hotel in Shanzu by November 1986. The hotel, along with another nearby property, will eventually form a major hotel complex featuring luxury VIP suites, swimming pools, water sports, shopping centers, and conference facilities. A nightclub similar to those at the Weaver Beach and Dakari Beach hotel complexes is also planned as part of the development. Computers on Display at Nyali Beach Hotel: Business Computer Systems showcased the latest in personal computers and software at the Nyali Beach Hotel. The event, which ran from July 20 to August 2, aimed to provide business professionals and organizations with an opportunity to explore new hardware, software programs, and specialized IT services. Watamu Beach Hotel Rebuilding After Fire: Reconstruction continues at Watamu Beach Hotel, which recently suffered significant damage due to a fire that destroyed its main administration building and dining room. The hotel is still operational, using secondary facilities while rebuilding efforts are underway. Chumani Harambee Fundraiser in Kilifi: A fundraiser held at Chumani Harambee Secondary School in Kilifi raised 230,036 shillings. Contributions included 15,000 shillings from President Moi and 10,000 shillings from Japhet Kiti, the Minister of Water Development. The funds will go towards supporting the school's ongoing development and improvement projects.
