Swissair Aims To Increase Kenya Traffic: Swissair is focused on boosting its traffic to Kenya through its charter subsidiary, Africa. In 1985, Swissair brought 24,000 tourists to Kenya and carried an additional 23,000 passengers on regular services. The promotion expenses, including efforts by Swiss tour operators, totaled over 43 million Swiss Francs. This investment is expected to yield substantial revenue for Kenya, with an estimated 11,000 tourists contributing around 11.2 million Swiss Francs in hard currency last year. New Safari Beach Hotel Set For November '86: A new luxury Safari Beach Hotel at Diani is scheduled to open in November 1986. The hotel will feature a double-storey Rondavel and is designed to accommodate various types of guests with single, twin-bedded rooms, and suites. Uganda And Burundi Freight Moving Through Mombasa: Following political changes in Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi have resumed moving their export and import goods through Mombasa. Burundi, in particular, has shifted its cargo from the Northern Tanzanian route back to Uganda, with more than 100 trucks now operating between Bujumbura and Mombasa. This resumption is crucial for both countries' trade, following disruptions caused by political instability and conflict. Young Heroes From Mombasa: Brothers Simon M. and Bruce, along with their friend Kopa Aldeilalt, have been recognized for their heroism in rescuing stranded goods from the beaches of Mombasa.
