A notable project in Msambweni is a Kshs. 200 million makuti-roofed hotel featuring 150 rooms, a discotheque for up to 1,000 people, and a Lebanese restaurant. The hotel will also include a landing strip for small charter planes – Special Report by Gray Phombeah. Nyali Secretaries Club Supports Polio Children: The Nyali Beach Hotel Secretaries Club held a fundraising event to help children affected by polio. The funds will provide equipment to aid the children in regaining mobility. Kilifi Bridge Project Delayed: The construction of the Kilifi Bridge, funded by Japan and costing Kshs. 420 million, has been delayed by a year. Work is now expected to begin in 1987 and be completed by 1990. This bridge will be the longest in Africa after the Nyali Bridge, which was also funded by Japan – Reported By Gray Phombeah. Diani Hotel and Game Lodge Developments: Investments in the South Coast continue with the construction of a 120-bed hotel in Diani Beach and a game lodge.
