Kenyan Cargo Stranded After Mogadishu Disaster: A large amount of cargo, originally bound for Mombasa, remains stranded at Mogadishu's port after the Ariadne disaster last August. The ship went aground, causing massive operational and transshipment issues. Only a small portion of the cargo has been shipped to Mombasa, with the rest delayed due to freight and financial disputes. The Ariadne, now a total loss, was carrying toxic cargo and thousands of tons of other goods.
