dc.description.abstract Conviction of Armed Somalia Pirates Welcomed: The European Union's counter-piracy naval force has praised the conviction of twelve Somali men by the Mauritian Court. The men were found guilty of attempting to pirate the merchant ship MSC Janiče on January 5, 2013. This conviction followed a previous acquittal in November 2014 and marks the first piracy trial conducted in Mauritius under a transfer agreement between the EU and the Mauritian Government established in July 2011. Serena Beach Hotel and Spa Awards: Serena Beach Hotel and Spa in Mombasa recently received awards for its exceptional service and facilities.
