New plan to save old town: The conservation issue concerning buildings of historical and architectural interest in parts of Mombasa’s old town is not dead but very much alive many date back to the 18th century and are deteriorating rapidly in the olden days many rich families lived there today most occupants are unable to maintain such large buildings, consequently, they have fallen into a state of disrepair- Weites Neta Peal. Frosted glasses, iced drinks, and Mombasa limes: When it is hot at the coast the longing for patches of shade for cool water to wash away the dust for iced drinks in frosted glasses for light refreshing meals is inevitable and besets most of us. Sailors rescued off Mombasa: The master, 11 crew, a woman passenger, and a young child were rescued from almost certain death by drowning early Wednesday when a small Kenyan coaster foundered in heavy seas on the Andromache reef off Mombasa island. |
