Inside this issue: Sailing notes: The July mug saw just eleven boats contesting the event last week, after the past two weeks it is wide open with no clear leader; Annual ;coas open golf’ competition this weekend: The coast open golf competition is to be played at the Mombasa golf club this weekend Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th August; Soccer scene: Serani secondary started their search for the coast provincial secondary school soccer championship on  a good note when they beat Kilifi Township 3-0 in the opening match of the tournament; Coast welcomes Karnataka cricket XI:The Karnataka state cricket association are presently touring Kenya and are due to meet the KCA XI led by Maurice Odumbe at Mombasa sports club this weekend in two one day matches.

Urgent dialogue to speed the recovery of tourism on the Kenya coast is imperative, for while there has been much talk of ‘positive indications about this happenings’ it has yet to materialize.
