Water rationing remains in force: The demand for water in the coastal region is much higher than the present supply and even with all the pumps working and no breakdown of pipelines, water rationing is still required- Reported by Netal Peal. Rotaract relay marathon race: There was great rejoicing at Mombasa’s Oceanic Hotel on Sunday, February 23 following the ending of the fund-raising Rotaract Malindi-Mombasa relay marathon and the auctioning of two British Airways return tickets Nairobi- Johannesburg when the news broke that the Rotaract club of Mombasa had now surpassed its target of shs.200,000/-.

Multi-million ‘Blood and eye bank’ plan: Lion club of Mombasa Pwani has embarked upon a mammoth project this year to build a ‘Blood and eye’ bank right in the Centre of town in uhuru park near Mombasa’s giant landmark tusks on Moi Avenue. British airways to help the Mombasa hospital I.C. unit: Giving a helping hand in the community is British airways which donated a world Traveller class return ticket Nairobi -London to the Mombasa hospital league of friends to assist in raising funds for at least one major piece of equipment for the projected intensive care unit for children at the Mombasa hospital. Mombasa sports club host Nairobi impala: Mombasa sports club over the weekend hosted impala from Nairobi three matches were played each on separate days two mixed and one men-day.
