President Moi Open Mombasa National Show: President Moi today officially opened the Mombasa show which opened its gates Yesterday over 200,000 people were expected to visit the show this year and show officials were optimistic that the number should reach the 100,000 mark by today. Muslims' concern over new laws on succession: Finally it will seek an audience with our beloved president in order to present the memorandum personally to him. Skal Club enjoy a Malindi weekend: Having a fantastic weekend at Club Che-shale where members of the Skal Club of Mombasa combined a committee meeting with some relaxation at this unique up-market camp situated on Shady Remotes Beach 14 miles north of Malindi.

5,000 Students will miss out on school: Some ten thousand Mombasa pupils have joined the queue for standard 1 admission next year but only half of this number will be managed to get standard places this is the heart-rending educational problem in Mombasa where 9.700 pupils are estimated to be seeking standard 1 in Mombasa in 1982- Reported by Gray Phombeah. Creek ship sinking drama off Kent coast: During my recent stay in the United Kingdom near the north foreland on the Kent coast I continued to maintain contact with the nautical scene and witnessed the drama of the creek-owned Papalios vessel Aegis Blaze during Mid-July when a major sea rescue effort had to be mounted to save the stricken ship- Shipping with John Walters.
