IN THIS ISSUE: Wema Centre Anniversary: Wema Centre in Mombasa celebrated its anniversary with a joyful event attended by orphans, guests, and various sponsors, including Hotels Beach, Brookside, and Commercial Africa. The occasion was marked by a ceremonial cutting of the cake: Oktoberfest at Cocos Beach Bar: Cocos Beach Bar at Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort &amp; Spa is hosting Oktoberfest from September 15th to October 15th, 2017. The event features German snacks and beer combos, with a special barbecue lunch on October 5th. Daily celebrations run from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM: Kenya Tourism Promotion:Kenyan Cabinet Secretary for Tourism, Najib Balala, officially opened the Magical Kenya Travel Expo 2017 in Nairobi. The expo brought together travel agents, tour operators, hoteliers, and media from various international tourism markets.

In this Issue: Manuel 'Effie' Antao Passes Away:Manuel 'Effie' Antao, a celebrated soccer legend from Mombasa, has passed away in Sydney, Australia. Known for his outstanding football skills and powerful goal-scoring ability, Effie was admired for his humor and sportsmanship: Kenya Airways Named Africa's Leading Airline:Kenya Airways has been awarded Africa's Leading Airline for 2017 at the World Travel Awards in Kigali, Rwanda. This marks the second consecutive year the airline has won this title. The recognition is attributed to the dedication and hard work of its staff: DTB Recognized in Bancassurance Sales:  Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) was honored as the top bank in bancassurance sales by Jubilee Insurance, achieving premiums of Kshs 600 million. The award ceremony took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel.
