In this Issue: Kenya's Tourism Growth: Kenya saw a 17% increase in tourism earnings in 2016, with more visitors from the United States, India, and China. The number of tourists rose from 750,075 in 2015 to 877,602 in 2016. This growth is attributed to improved travel conditions and security, despite challenges from past attacks on tourist resorts: Environmental Initiatives: Kenya is focusing on sustainable tourism and environmental conservation. Efforts include reducing poaching and promoting the country's wildlife through initiatives supported by the UN World Tourism Organization.
