Inside this issue: Arap ng’eny announces many more telephones: The waiting list for telephone lines in Mombasa may soon be cleared followed the official inauguration of the second phase of the Makupa Telephone Exchange; Kenya beers ‘best’Kenya’s beers made a clean sweep for the second year running winning seven gold medals at the famous Monde Selection contest held in Lisbon Portugal; Dar es salaam has similar trends with Mombasa port; Having returned to Mombasa on the BEACON container vessel CITY OF LIVERPOOL last Sunday after a week in Dar es Salaam much the same port occupancy trends seem to apply there as with the port of Mombasa where there were seven vessels only alongside on Tuesday; Changamwe boxers sweep kimathi cup: The Coast Amateur Boxing Association’s organized Kimathi Shield Tournament ended with Changamwe Boxing Club emerging winners with seven points followed by Posta with six points.
